EMD has teamed with Ioxus and Oneonta Public Transit (OPT) to convert a 2007 Gillig 40 foot bus to hybrid propulsion.

This program utilizes EMD's engine mounted emDRIVE® configuration and Ioxus ultra capacitors. The bus, and many others like it, are currently operated within the city limits of Oneonta, New York and provide local bus service to the residents and many students from the local university system.
